PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict resonance caused by impact acting on a vehicle. SOLUTION: Front G (deceleration) is smoothed so as to calculate the smoothed deceleration G1 (S102) and the front G is smoothed similarly with the negative component set to 0 so as to calculate a plus side smoothed deceleration G2 (S104). A deviationΔG between the plus side smoothed deceleration G2 and the smoothed deceleration G1 is compared with a threshold Gth (S108) and, when the deviationΔG is the threshold Gth or more, it is predicted that the resonance is generated right after that (S110). The reason for predicting the resonance by the deviationΔG is based on that the front G becomes a general positive value in colliding of the vehicle, while it is largely deflected to the negative side when causing the resonance.
