PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which easily defines and displays the format of a document display without depending upon any program. SOLUTION: This device comprises document display format definition data in which the format of the document is described with visible numerals and words and phrases, array data which are generated during program execution to display the document according to the document display format definition data, and a means which displays the document according to the array data.
