摘要 An online, interactive collection management and marketing system and method are provided. The system enables users to input, manage, sort, value, and categorize one o r more of their collections, and enables the operator of the system to directly market collectible items to the users based on an analysis of their collection data. The system includes a plurali ty of software modules for managing the user's collections and for marketing specific collectibles to the users through a graphical user interface such as a web browser. The system includes a web server coupled to one or more database servers. The web serves stores graphical web pages and associated software modules for enabling the functionality of the system. The database server is coupled to one or mare online databases for storing information used by the system, including registration data, user collection data, a set of pre-populated collection templates, real-time pricing data, and an inventory of collectible content and images. The pre-populated collection template enables users to quickly and automatically add numerous item records to their collection data instead of manually adding each item. A spatial marketing module is included with the system that enables the system operator to analyze the user's collection data and then directly target marketing messages to particular users regarding items they may want to purchase for their collections.
