INK JET RECORDER AND INK JET RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recorder comprising an ink jet head 1 for ejecting ink from nozzle holes 12 provided in a pressure chamber 11 toward a recording sheet 41 through deformation operation of an actuator 13 in which the size of the ink jet recorder is reduced by cleaning the vicinity of the nozzle hole 12 surely even if suction force is small when the vicinity of the nozzle hole 12 is cleaned through suction. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises a cap 21 covering the outer opening of a nozzle hole 12 and a pump 22 for sucking ink in the vicinity of the nozzle hole 12 wherein an actuator 13 is operated during operation of the suction pump 22 to apply a suction force and a push out force to the vicinity of the nozzle hole 12.
