PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a page printer system in which a synchronous ROM can exhibit essential performance without having any adverse effect on the high speed operation of an SDRAM. SOLUTION: Between a main board 201 and an ROM DIMM 207, a CPU 21 and an SPD 35 are connected through a dedicated bus 22 while a memory control section 25 and first and second ROMs (31, 33) are connected through a bus common to both ROMs (31, 33), i.e., a bus (ROM bus) 24 for page mode ROM. In other words, the second ROM 33 is not connected with the bus line for an SDRAM 23. Address buses 26, 28 for applying chip select signals, respectively, to the terminals of both ROMs (31, 33) from the memory control section 25 side are also connected between the memory control section 25 and the first and second ROMs (31, 33) so that both ROMs (31, 33) can be accessed selectively using the ROM bus 24.
