A disposable absorbent article is provided which is adapted to fit vario us torso sizes. The article comprises an elasticated belt and an insert, which may be formed integrally with the belt, or may constitute a separate member. The be lt and the insert are provided with complementary hooks and loops, and are sized so tha t, in use, the absorbent article fits tightly to different torso sizes.
