PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centerless grinding technique capable of applying grinding of high finishing accuracy to a work with a large grinding allowance. SOLUTION: By synchronizing and controlling a relative cutting position of a grinding wheel 1 with respect to the work W and rotating speed of a regulating wheel 2, infeed grinding is performed on the work W carried in between the rotating grinding wheel 1 and the regulating wheel 2, and then through feed grinding is performed on the work W after finishing this infeed grinding process. In such manner, by compositely combining infeed grinding and through feed grinding in centerless grinding, grinding of high finishing accuracy can be applied to the work W with a large grinding allowance in one grinding.
