PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering machine which is used for both chemical agent injection and ridging, can sufficiently utilize the original advantages of a partially soil disinfection method and is extremely preferable from the aspect of enviromnental protection, and to provide a method for disinfecting soil by the use of the machine. SOLUTION: This covering machine 100 which is useful for both chemical agent injection and ridging, is attached to a tractor and pulled, and is used for injecting a chemical agent P as points C in soil, ridging soil tilled with an attached rotary 3, and then covering the formed ridge with a mulching film 5, characterized in that an injection sword 80 for injecting the chemical agent into the soil is attached so that the tip of the injection sword 80 reaches soil B at a deeper position than the tilled soil in the ridge.
