PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to surely pull out a can body subjected to drawing/ironing from a punch, in particular, a method to surely pull out the can body obtained by subjecting a metal plate coated with resin on one face or both faces of the metal plate to drawing/ironing and a drawn/ironed can forming apparatus capable of easily pulling out a can body after ironing. SOLUTION: When a cup shaped body 1 after drawing is mounted to a punch 2 and is passed through ironing dies 3a, 3b, 3c arranged in front of the punch, in the state that an upper part of the cup shaped body does not pass through the ironing dies, and the upper part of the cup shaped body is not ironed, the punch is stopped, the drawn/ironed can is obtained, and then the punch with a drawn/ironed can 11 mounted thereto is reversed backward and is passed through the ironing dies, the drawn/ironed can is pulled out from the punch with using a stripper 4 arranged in front of an ironing part.
