PURPOSE: To provide a disposable wearing article in which the stretchablity of a portion having a target tape installed thereto is never lost. CONSTITUTION: In this disposable wearing article 1, a tape fastener 5 installed at both side edges 1a of a front girth area 20 and the non-stretchable target tape 6 for fixing the tape fastener 5 is installed on the outer surface of a rear girth area 22. The front and rear girth areas 20 and 22 and a under-crotch area 21 are elastically stretchable in the vertical and transverse directions. The target tape 6 has plurality of slits 8 vertically extending at a required transverse dimensional interval, and it is installed to the front girth area 20 laid substantially non-stretchable state.
