PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in wrapping tension in the binding insulating layer of the coil end portion of the rotor of an electric rotating machine during thermosetting and breakage and the like of a tape during wrapping operation. SOLUTION: Co-poly-(paraphenylene/3,4'-oxydiphenylene terephthalamide) fibers are arragned in the lengthwise direction of the binding tape, and non-metallic fibers are arranged in the widthwise direction. As a result, rips in the binding tape fibers are eliminated by tension.
