PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oval parasol with which a user can go out even in a stormy weather. SOLUTION: Ten ribs of three kinds with different length are combined into an oval decahedron. The surface area is expanded by a little less than 20% from that of a circular octahedron of prior art to prevent leakage of water caused by wind and rain. In addition the increase of the number of ribs from eight to ten can make them more resistant to breaking in stormy weather. Moreover decorating the periphery with frills can make the parasol more fashionable.
