PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus is provided to stably drive the image forming apparatus to remarkably reduce noise and improve picture quality. CONSTITUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image forming unit(40B,40C), a belt(60), an exposure optical system(30), an optical path controller, and a plurality of transfer electrical chargers(70B,70C). Each of the image forming units has a photosensitive body and a developer to form and develop an electrostatic latent image. The belt transfers a recording paper(51) on an endless track such that the recording paper passes the photosensitive bodies. The optical system projects a beam according to image information. The optical path controller controls a projection path of the beam from the exposure optical system to one of the plurality of image forming units. Each of the transfer electrical charger is located on the endless track to correspond to each photosensitive body and charged to transfer the developed image to the recording paper.
