PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular air conditioner for facilitating selecting operation of an operation mode of an air conditioner and manually renewing the operation mode by will of a user. SOLUTION: This vehicular air conditioner is provided with an ignition switch 48 having a mode selecting dial 42 for indicating manual renewal of the operation mode of the air conditioner and detecting ON/OFF of an engine, an air conditioning switch 49 for detecting either of ON/OFF of the air conditioner, an inside-outside air switching damper 36 for switching the air conditioner to operation in an inside air circulating mode or an outside air circulating mode, a pre-evaporation sensor 51 for detecting an outside air temperature and an air conditioning controller 4 for respectively switching a mode to an outside air introducing mode when the air conditioning switch is turned off or the outside air temperature Te is less than a preset value Ta and the inside air circulating mode when the air conditioning switch is turned on and the outside air temperature is not less than the preset value when the ignition switch 48 is switched to ON from OFF and continuing these automatic selecting modes while the manual renewal is not indicated.
