PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a durable life of a pneumatic type impact mechanism while maintaining comfortableness of work by improving an idle shot preventing means for the pneumatic type impact mechanism in a hand power tool device. SOLUTION: In a guide cylinder 2, impact force can be applied to a free piston 5 by a drive piston 3 through an air spring 4, a valve hole 10 in the guide cylinder 2 communicated with the air spring 4 can be opened by a control sleeve 11 which can be displaced in an axial line direction under action of a return spring 7 for preventing idle shot, a transmission member 9 capable of transmitting impact force from he free piston 5 to a tool held by a tool holder 6 is provided in the tool holder 6, the tool holder 6 enclosing the guide cylinder 2 on the outer circumferential side is supported to be capable of displacement in the axial line direction within a limited range, and a control sleeve 11 is disposed to be adjacent to the tool holder 6.
