PURPOSE: An integrated remote controller and a controlling method thereof are provided to directly recognize manufactures and model names by adding an infrared receiving sensor. CONSTITUTION: An integrated remote controller(20) consists of a control part(20-1), an infrared receiving sensor(20-2), a decoding part(20-3), a memory part(20-4), and an infrared transmitting sensor(20-6). The control part(20-1) controls the integrated remote controller(20) overall. The infrared receiving sensor(20-2) receives infrared signals, the output signals of an audio remote controller, a TV remote controller, a VCR remote controller, etc. The decoding part(20-3) compares and analyzes an infrared signal inputted to the infrared receiving sensor(20-2) according to the control signal of the control part(20-1) and encodes the manufacturer and model name of the product to be used. The memory part(20-4) memorizes the encoded signal under the control of the control part(20-1). The infrared transmitting sensor(20-6) emits infrared rays to operate an electronic equipment according to the key manipulation of a key input part(20-5) formed on the external surface of the integrated remote controller(20).
