EMERGENCY HANDOVER METHOD IN DECT SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An emergency handover method in a DECT(Digital European Cordless Telecommunication) system is provided to prevent an on-going call from being disconnected by transmitting an emergency handover advice signal to a PT(Portable Terminal) in case that an FT(Fixed Terminal) fails to receive system information for a required time. CONSTITUTION: In case that an interference state that an FT cannot receive system information(Nt) from a specific bearer for a given time is generated(S200), a PMID(Portable MAC ID) is broadcasted to every PT being operated in the service area of the FT(S210). Each PT judges whether the received PMID is identical to its own PMID(S220). The PT having the same PMID checks 12 unused blind bearers among the 24 bearers of the present intra-cell and judges whether a vacant time-slot exists(S230). In case that all the blind bearers or time-slots are in use, the PT transmits a handover request signal to an inter-cell(S240).
