PURPOSE: A horizontality maintaining device for a proximity sensor of a reclaimer is provided to always keep the horizontal state of the proximity sensor even when a boom of the reclaimer rotates up or down with respect to a horizontal position by a cylinder for precisely measuring a distance between a bucket of a reclaimer drum and a raw material pile regardless of the position of the boom. CONSTITUTION: A horizontality maintaining device for a proximity sensor of a reclaimer includes a hanger bracket(51) fixed to a bottom surface of a boom(30) pivotally supported on a swing part, a sensor housing(55) incorporating a proximity sensor(50) inside and hinge-coupled with the hanger bracket at an upper end part, and a plate type weight(56) mounted at a lower end part of the sensor housing for keeping the horizontality of the sensor housing, wherein a guide tube(57) is further provided to a front surface of the sensor housing for guiding the sensing of the proximity sensor and simultaneously preventing the introduction of external impurities.
