METHOD OF MEASURING LYSOPHOSPHOLIPID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of specifically, simply and exactly measuring the lysophospholipid in specimens. SOLUTION: The lysophospholipid is determined by allowing a lysophospholipase-active enzyme that hydrolyzes lysophospholipid but not acyl type phospholipid to act on lysophospholipid and determining the product. In the case of lysophosphatidylcholine, glycerol-3-phosphorylcholine(GPC) or a free fatty acid is liberated and the liberated GPC or free fatty acid is specifically determined. In the case of lysophosphatidic acid(LPA), glycerol-3-phosphoric acid(G-3-P) or a free fatty acid is liberated and specifically determined. Thus, a simple and exact process for specifically determining LPC or LPA and a kit therefor can be provided.
