<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-line monitoring system that allows a plant manager to collect and store input output data of a controller in a plant without visiting a site for the purpose to quickly cope with a fault or a defect in the plant on the occurrence of it, allows the manager to predict deterioration over aging in the plant due to corrosion and fatigue or the like on the basis of the collected data so as to prevent faults or a defects due to the factors in advance and allows him to give a proper advice on the plant operation and maintenance. SOLUTION: A data collection personal computer 2 at a plant site collects input output data to/from the controller 3 ever moment and the data collection personal computer 2 and a monitor personal computer 4 installed at the plant manufacturer are connected via a communication channel 5, the data collected in the data collection personal computer 2 are transmitted and stored in the monitor personal computer 4 through the communication channel.</p> |
