PURPOSE: A storing media having a plurality of element of contents, a method and system for providing contents on line are provided to increase the convenience of a user by enabling the user to purchase an input card or a card package and to download contents from a related server, and by enabling the user to store and use the contents in the user's system. CONSTITUTION: A contents server manufactures and provides an input card or a card package. In addition, the contents server is equipped with a database capable of storing related contents and a management program. A storing media management server is equipped with a database which stores constituents of a storing media and a management program. A client is equipped with a network connection computer equipped with related execution programs and a storing media accessing device which reads the input card or the card package. A communication network mutually connects contents server, the storing media management server and the client.
