PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a joining operation of scanned originals by an operator in the case that scanners separately read originals of many sheet numbers, joins the read original image data as a series of originals, prints out the data or manages the data as files. SOLUTION: When the operator instructs a server 3 to use scanners and to print out read images as a series of originals, the server 3 stores and manages information denoting read (scan) start time in cross-reference with image data read-by each scanner, rearranges the image data in the earlier order of the scan start times according to the information of the read start times and carries out the print job when the image data come from all the scanners and the end of read of the scanners is reported.
