PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelement by a cold press method where a sintered material regarded as inferior to an ingot material for performance is used to devise shape and porosity, resulting in a better performance than by a hot press method used so far. SOLUTION: The thermoelement comprises a sintered material with a value of volume [mm3]/surface area [mm2] after sintering of it being 3.7 or below, while the thermoelement is being n-type sintered material with porosity of it as 8% or less. The thermoelement is a p-type sintered material as well with porosity of it as 20% or less.
