PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of easily knowing at what position corresponding to any plate cylinder a stay of a printing sheet occurs when the stay of the sheet occurs in a double plate cylinder type printer. SOLUTION: The double plate cylinder type printer comprises a plurality of rotating plate cylinders, and sheet stay sensing means 50, 57, 99 and 100 for sensing the stay of the printing sheet so that the means 50, 57, 99 and 100 sense at what position corresponding to any plate cylinder the stay of the sheet occurs.
