PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which can prevent a meniscus damage of nozzle openings by shocks, etc. SOLUTION: A length L of a liquid column formed by a gap between an ink supply needle 7 and a porous material 12 is set so that a ratio L/S with respect to a cross section S of the liquid column is not larger than 1/2, thereby making an inertance of the liquid column as small as possible. |
