PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method of electronically monitoring air supply in a glass product manufacturing machine. SOLUTION: A monitor of air passing through the blowing head 18 for blow molding of a container has a solenoid valve 32 sending final blowing air to the container in the metal mold 12, 14 through a blowing head, and a solenoid valve 34 supplying air cooling a mouth around the mouth of the container in the metal mold through the blowing head. An electronic circuit 36 detecting timing of control signal given to each valve is connected to each valve. The air pressure sensors 40, 42 for generating sensor signal showing timing of giving air to the blowing head to each valve, are connected to each valve. The comparing logic 38 compares the timing of valve control signal with that of the sensor signal, and indicates malfunction of the valve or latent malfunction.
