PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosive composition that is excellent in handling comparable to a conventional ANFO explosive and water-resistant in a possible soaking time. SOLUTION: A porous prill ammonium nitrate is coated with an ammonium nitrate powder and, if desired, a thickener, an adhesive paste and a mixture containing a natural polymer, than coated with an emulsion or a polymer which his liquefied by heating and solidified after coating to form the water-resistant granular explosive composition containing the porous prill ammonium nitrate.
