SECOND HARMONIC GENERATOR

PURPOSE: A second harmonic generator is provided, which maintains thermal stability even at peripheral temperature variation and outputs the second harmonic stably. CONSTITUTION: Input and output mirrors(110,150) provide a resonance interval of a predetermined distance. The second harmonic generating part is provided in the resonance interval, and gets the second harmonic from pumping energy forced from the external. A temperature adjusting device adjusts a temperature of a nonlinear single crystal element(140) of the second harmonic generating part. A case(100) surrounds the resonance interval and supports the input and output mirrors and the second harmonic generating part. A temperature correcting device(300) is installed along a length direction of an outer circumference of the case and prevents a distance between the input and output mirrors from being varied by temperature variation of the case. A control means(410) senses a case temperature and controls the temperature correcting device so that a temperature of the case is maintained within a predetermined temperature range.
