SOLUTION: In a 5-shaft-form magnetic bearing device wherein a rotor shaft 12 rotating integrally with a motor rotor 16 is supported rotatably and floatingly by two radial magnetic bearings 22, 24 and one axial magnetic bearing 30, outside diameters d2, d4 of bearing supported parts 36, 44 confronting with radial electromagnets 38, 46 of the radial magnetic bearings 22, 24 of the rotor shaft 12 are set smaller than an outer diameter d3 of the motor rotor 16 and outside diameters d1, d5 of sensed parts 32, 40 confronting with radial displacement sensors 34, 42 of the radial magnetic bearings 22, 24 of the rotor shaft 12.
