PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump or motor to prevent vibration and noise of a whole unit caused by vertical vibration of a side plate or a bearing part. SOLUTION: A pair of gears 101, 102 are arranged in a casing, not only a side wall 106 is contact in sliding with side plates of the both gears, high pressure introducing passages 10, 11 are respectively formed at side faces of a driving gear side and a driven gear side in the side wall 106 along an anti- sliding direction of tooth from a discharge port 109, ends 10a, 11a of high pressure introducing passages at the driving gear 101 side and the driven gear 102 side respectively differ in position by greater than half a pitch of the gear but also a range B of the driven gear 102 is always greater as to ranges A, B applied by oil pressure introduced from the high pressure introducing passages 10, 11 into between teeth of the gears.
