PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirrer for coating materials, which is capable of effectively re-dissolving a coating material which is once separated, being manufactured at a low cost, formed to miniaturize the device itself and free from the run-out of the coating material from a coating material vessel in a process of re- dissolving the coating material. SOLUTION: This stirrer for coating materials has a casing (2), a vessel housing part (3) attached in the casing (2) so as to be rocked freely and capable of housing the coating material vessel, in which ink, or the like, is contained, a bearing (4) mounted on an optional position of the vessel housing part (3), and a driving shaft (5), one end of which is connected to the bearing (4) and another end of which is connected to a rotary shaft (701) of a motor (7) with a clamp (6), or the like, and the driving shaft (5) moves in the left and right directions with rotation of the motor (7) to freely rock the vessel housing part (3) by connecting the driving shaft (5) to a position shifted from the center point of the clamp (6).
