PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining wheelchair, with which respective cushion faces become a continuous horizontal plane when a back rest is reclined, a sitting plane has an elevation angle in a sitting posture and an axle-to-axle distance is changed while being linked. SOLUTION: In this reclining wheelchair, a frame 2 for holding front wheels 1 and a frame 7 for holding rear wheels 6 can mutually move in parallel along with a longitudinal axial line obliquely downward inclined toward the back, a backrest 15 and the frame for holding the rear wheels are linked by a link 17, and the axle-to-axle distance of the front and rear wheels is changed. While utilizing the fact that the height of the rear wheels is changed with the change of the axle-to-axle distance, when the backrest is laid, respective cushion faces becomes the continuous horizontal plane and the axle-to-axle distance becomes maximum. In the sitting posture, the sitting plane has the elevation angle and the axle-to-axle distance becomes minimum.
