PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material which ensures good graininess, suppressed fog and slight lowering of sensitivity. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains at least one compound of formula (1) [where Cp1 is a coupler component forming a coloring dye by a coupling reaction with the oxidized body of a color developing agent; PUG1 is an inhibitor residue having a mercapto group bonding to the methylene group through S and having ClogP of 3.5-12; R1 is a substituent; and (n) is an integer of 0-4].
