DETOURING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detouring method for automatically acquiring detour information and making detour in a communication network constructed by connecting communication equipment and to provide the communicating equipment for realizing the method. SOLUTION: These communication equipment which are connected through an ATM network and perform communication by detouring to an ISDN in the case of a failure in the ATM network, are provided with a memory for storing the detour information of the communication equipment connected through the ATM network and a means for acquiring the detour information and storing the detour information in the memory and realize detouring to the ISDN from the ATM network by using the detour information stored in the memory in the case of the failure in the ATM network.
