The invention relates to a beater bar 3 capable of being acted upon on one side, which is capable of being inserted into circumferential slots 2 of the rotor 1 of an impactor and is firmly clamped in these. According to the invention, the cross section of the beater bar has an arcuate bend 4 facing the rotor and the arrangement of the centres of rotation R1 and R2 of the inner and outer arcs is such that the beater bar, when tilted into its working position and when being with its bearing surfaces 7/7' in bearing contact with a corresponding surface of the rotor, is self-locked, in that it is supported on an arcuately designed supporting or bearing piece 6 provided in the circumferential slot of the rotor.
