PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of a one-component developing device of an image forming device which uses a roller-shaped developer restriction member by prescribing the shape of the developer restriction member, thereby reducing the gap formed with the developer carrier due to the deflection of the developer restriction member and uniformizing the contact with the developer carrier, then eliminating image unevenness. SOLUTION: In the one-component developing device of the image forming device, the developer restriction member 44 is formed in a roller shape and its external diameter D is made larger at the axial center part 44a than at the end parts 44b and axially symmetrical at the center part. While the developer carrier is rotated, a nonmagnetic single-component developer carried by the developer carrier is layered thin by the developer restriction member 44 and then stuck on an image carrier to visualize a latent image on the image carrier.
