PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To get rid of a fatal defect that the liquid of ART have an adverse effect on stability of a ship under the circumstances when it does not effectively operate as a means for reducing rolling. SOLUTION: This rolling reducing device is equipped with a detector section 37 to obtain information for the direction of wind, the speed of the wind, the speed of the ship and the like, in addition to information for a rudder angle order for rolling and turning of the ship, a control section 6 to make the contents of the information outputted from the detector section decoded and to output a control signal, and a switching apparatus installed section 7 to drive a valve and a bumper. The circumstances which the ship encounters are obtained from the detector section 37, and the information is decoded by the control section 6. Thereby, the control specifications of the switching apparatus installed section 7 is automatically carried out as required based on a predetermined condition, in order to control the periodic variable and liquid of the ART.
