PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for a vehicle, requiring no working of a fender to cover a wheel, and having a large degree of freedom in the layout of a brake pipe arrangement. SOLUTION: This braking device is equipped with a pair of forks 3 disposed at both axle end parts of the front wheel 4 of the vehicle 1 to rotatably support the axle, a fork supporting member 14 to mutually link those forks, the actuating parts 15a, 16a of brakes 15, 16 provided on both sides of the front wheel, a brake operating means 18, 19 to control the actuating parts of the brakes, and brake pipe arrangements 22, 23 to distribute hydraulic oil supplied by the brake operating means to the actuating parts of both brakes, and a part of the brake pipe arrangements is disposed below the fork supporting member.
