PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator (module) of small size and high performance, which enables to shorten the time for adjusting its oscillation characteristic and also provide the adjusting method. SOLUTION: Oscillation circuit parts are mounted on the upper main surface of a circuit substrate 1 that has a dielectric layer inside, and on the rear main surface, a rear side conductor 1-d is placed. By way of a part of the dielectric layer from rear side conductor 1-d, at least a part 1-c of an inductor element that constitutes the oscillation circuit is furnished. Rear side conductor 1-d has slits 10 or pinholes, which is formed in a part of the oscillator. Thus, this oscillator can adjust the oscillation characteristic by cutting off partly some parts of the contained part 1-c with the dielectric layer are removed using a laser beam by way of slits 10 or pinholes.
