The invention relates to a method for sorting rubbish. Said rubbish is pre-sorted by extracting foreign elements, separating ferrous and non-ferrous elements and fine-grain sifting. The rubbish flow transported on a conveyer belt is then sorted by sorting personnel positioned on one side of the conveyer belt. Said personnel extract solid rubbish elements such as glass, paper and plastic and transfer them into waste containers. The invention enables the effectiveness of one such method to be increased. To this end, the pre-sorted rubbish flow is divided and distributed among at least two conveyer belts (8, 9) in the form of sorting belts, and sorting personnel (SP) are assigned to both conveyer belts (8, 9). |
