PURPOSE: Provided are pharmaceutical compositions for protecting liver comprising leucocyanidin which inhibits liver toxicity caused by an analgesic agent, acetaminophen. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition for protecting liver comprises an effective amount of leucocyanidin and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier to inhibit liver toxicity due to acetaminophen. Leucocyanidin is one kind of trocyanidol oligomers contained in Vitis vinifera seeds, and is represented by structural formula.
