<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin connector having a narrow pitch. SOLUTION: A contact 10 is formed as a single body comprised of a central generally rectangular intermediate part 11, a press in part 12, generally U-shaped parts 13, 14, linear spring parts 15, 16 and bent contact parts 17, 18. The press in part 12 of the contact 10 is pressed in a hole 23 penetrating a body part 21 and a retention part 22 of an insulator 20 from the left side. The generally rectangular intermediate part 11 of the contact 10 surrounds the side surface of the retention part 22. The contact 10 is fixed on the insulator 20 in this manner. The other contact is left and right reversed and is attached to an adjacent retention part in the same manner so as to face opposite the contact 10 with putting the body part 21 in between. Plural contacts are fixed on the insulator, repeating this in the same manner. Bent contact parts 17, 18 of every contacts project outward from the upper and the lower surface of the insulator under this condition.</p> |
