PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for issuing and notarizing an e-receipt are provided to secure the public trust of the e-receipt and to prevent the forgery and second use of the issued receipt by an extra notary facility managing all the issued e-receipt. CONSTITUTION: A client(100) performs a product or finance business through the network and requests the e-receipt issue for certifying the specification to a receipt issue server(200). The receipt issue server sends the e-receipt to both the client and an electronic notary center(300). If the third institution(400) requests vouchers concerning to the payment specification from the client, the client submits the e-receipt to the third institution, which requests the authentication of the e-receipt to the electronic notary center. The electronic notary center sends the related data to the third institution. The third institution distinguishes the truth or false of the e-receipt that the client submits.
