PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weighted, flexible, and thin-type battery of a high energy density. SOLUTION: In the thin-type battery comprising to pinch a power generation element consisting of a positive electrode 3, a negative electrode 1 and an electrolyte 2 by two sheath materials 4, 5, a heat-fusible plastic film having a metal layer is used on one sheath material 4, and a metal film is used on the other sheath material 5. In manufacturing, the thin-type battery having a pair of sheath materials is sealed under a reduced pressure.
