PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct the sensed current flowing in a secondary battery. SOLUTION: An AC load 24 and a low-voltage DC load 34 are shut off from the secondary battery 22 by a switching element of a DC-DC converter 36 and an inverter circuit 26 when a start switch 50 is turned on, and a charging/ discharging current sensed by a current sensor 48 is read and is used as the offset error of the sensor 48, and thereafter the charging/discharging currents sensed by the sensor 48 are corrected using the offset error. Because the offset error is determined and the charging/discharging current sensed are corrected each time the device is started, a proper charging/discharging current can be obtained.
