PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the distillation characteristics of liquid petroleum products by express mini-distillation correlated with standards especially with the ASTM standards. SOLUTION: The apparatus for implementing the method for determining the distillation characteristics of liquid petroleum products includes a distillation flask 1 dimensioned to house 5 to 15 ml of a sample to be analyzed, a means 2 for heating the distillation flask with an adjustable constant heating intensity, two instant responsiveness temperature sensors 5 and 6 continuous temperature measurement on the one hand of the true value of the temperature of a sample in the course of distillation in the liquid phase and the true value of the temperature of the sample in the vapor phase, a pressure measuring device 7 provided with a pressure detector and a capillary tube 8 for continuous measurement of the pressure in the vapor phase of a sample in the course of distillation, and a means for receiving and exploiting signals transmitted from the temperature sensors and the pressure detector.
