PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device of favorable operability capable of easily adjusting ventilation quantity, day lighting quantity, etc. SOLUTION: This opening and closing device 21 is provided with vertically movable opening and closing body 31 to abut on contact part 25 of a part 22 for closing the part 22 to be closed, or get apart from the contact part 25 for opening the part 22 to be closed. This opening and closing body 31 has an opening part 36 of which opening area is changed in accordance with size of force applied to a lower end part of the opening and closing body 31 from the contact part 25 based on opening and closing action. The opening area of the opening part 36 of the opening and closing body 31 can be easily adjusted by pressing operation to a specially provided non-self holding type adjustment operation switch 46.
