STRUCTURE OF CYLINDER HEAD COVER GASKET

PURPOSE: Structure of a cylinder head cover gasket is provided to remove a gap between a cam cap and a gasket and to realize complete airtightness by compensating the space due to the shape error of the cam cap with an epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head cover gasket is inserted to a groove formed on the bottom face of a cylinder head cover. A hollow core(11) of a specific size is formed in a body(15) of a gasket(10) made from acryl rubber. An epoxy resin(12) is filled in the hollow core. A vinyl tube(13) naturally burst when the cylinder head cover is bolted with a cylinder head is installed in the hollow core. A hardening agent(14) is filled in the vinyl tube. When the vinyl tube is burst, the hardening agent is dispersed to hard the epoxy resin. Therefore, the shape error of a cam cap is compensated.
