SYNTHETIC METHOD OF LACTAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the synthetic method of a lactam in the presence of high- temperature and high-pressure water, and a manufacturing method of the lactam. SOLUTION: This synthetic method of the lactam is characterized in that the lactam is synthesized by reacting an amino acid in the presence of the high-temperature and high-pressure water. In this case, characteristically, the lactam is rapidly synthesized by cyclizing the amino acid under the condition that the water temperature is 200 deg.C of higher and the water pressure is 10 MPa or higher. The manufacturing method of the lactam is characterized in that the lactam is synthesized by reacting the amino acid in the presence of the high-temperature and high-pressure water and then separated and purified with a separating agent for column separation.
