PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and soft photoconductive member which obviates the necessity of coating a photoconductive layer on a soft layer. SOLUTION: A photoconductive sleeved primary image forming member roller (10) to be used in an electrophotographic machine comprises a central member (14) including a rigid cylindrical core member (11) and a compliant layer (12) formed on the core member and a flexible replaceable and removal photoconductive sleeve member (17) in the form of an endless tubular belt that surrounds and nonadhesively intimately contacts the central member.
